1. Start small
Changing your lifestyle completely overnight is not only a difficult to impossible task - it can set you up for failure. Losing weight is not about eating oatmeal or grapefruit three times a day. Don't stop enjoying life. Make one small change every day. For example, you can start by drinking 3 tall glasses of water per day, then cutting out sugar and white bread...  

2. Test for food sensitivities
They could be sabataging your plans. Eliminate foods you suspect you could be sensitive to (dairy products, eggs, soy, wheat, corn, sugar and peanuts) for three weeks before reintroducing them. Add one food back into diet at a time and wait 3 days before adding the next one.

4. Your medication could be making you fat!
