Eating vegetables has never been sexy. But that's about to change thanks to a study out of the UK. It found that eating your allotted five-a-day can give you that golden glow that makes you more attractive and beddable. Just what you need if you're sex life is less exciting than you wish it was…

Move over meat lovers!

It seems vegetarian diets and diets rich in fruits and vegetables make you more attractive to the opposite sex.

The reason is two-fold.

Firstly, eating lots of fruit and vegetables gives you that golden glow you need to look healthier and, in turn, sexier.

And secondly, we’re genetically programmed to try to find a mate that isn’t sickly who may pass on illness and infection to our offspring. 

At least that’s the conclusion researchers from York, St Andrews and Cambridge University.

Why vegetables make you look sexier

This after they “took photos of 20 men and women and then adjusted them to create different versions. In one set of images, the faces had the golden glow of someone who eats a lot of fruit and veg and in a second they had the less healthy complexion of someone who eats few greens,” explains iol.

Naturally, the people who looked at the photos found the people with the more golden faces better looking. And said they were more likely to pursue a relationship with them.

How to get that daily five–a-day your sex life needs
