Take note of the things you should and shouldn’t do when you have a heart problem

Dos:

·         Listen to your doctor and believe what you hear about the seriousness of changing your lifestyle.
·         Change your diet and eat more veggies. Women in a study who did just that were 31% less likely to die within six years of their diagnosis.
·         Eat less salt!

Don’ts:

·         Stop yo-yo dieting. Even if you’re trying to shift a few kgs, there’s no reason to go on extreme diets. It means you’re likely to put all the weight you lost back on and then some… Rather eat a well balanced diet!
·         Don’t eat too much. WebMD.com says people are more likely to die of a heart attack once they’ve had a big meal and gorged themselves! But not only that, it’ll make you put on weight, something that’s just as bad for your heart.

There’s no choice in the matter. Your heart problem now dictates your future, but you can control it so it doesn’t rob you of your future health.
