Why triglycerides are your nemesis for heart problems

When the LDL and HDL particles are loaded with extra triglycerides, they convert into small LDL and small HDL particles.
The small HDL particles (the good cholesterol) become weak and that means they can’t provide your body with effective protection against oxidation. Meanwhile,  the small LDL particles (the bad cholesterol) cause inflammation and oxidative stress in the body.
