Grounding: The medical breakthrough that could boost your heart health

by , 04 July 2014

Grounding, also known as earthing, is simply the act of placing your bare feet on the earth, or sitting or lying on special conductive devices, to get free electrons are transferred from the earth into your body. This effect is now one of the most potent antioxidants known to man.

Grounding has numerous benefits, other than to create a general feeling of well-being. It also reduces inflammation and pain, improves your sleep and even helps thin your blood.

Now, Dr Stephen Sinatra, a champion of grounding who's personally been grounding for over five years, believes the simple act of walking on sand, earth or grass could be the most important heart-health breakthroughs he's come across.

Read on for the details.

High blood pressure increases the risk of a heart attack as much as five times! And, it increases your risk for stroke by ten times.

·         Reduced short term memory or dementia
·         A loss of bone density
Controlling your high blood pressure is the best way to protect yourself from the possible consequences of these life-threatening conditions.
Learn to dramatically lower your blood pressure and how you can get the health and confidence you need to live your life the way you want to live it.
Grounding can keep your heart healthy by thinning your blood and lowering your blood pressure
Dr Sinatra’s on-going studies on grounding have shown significant positive effects for your heart health. These include a decrease in inflammation, thinner blood and improved blood pressure and circulation.
One of the most overlooked problems in high blood pressure is hyperviscosity – the term used to explain thick and sticky blood that moves slowly through your circulatory system. Hyperviscosity contributes to the inflammation that damages your arteries, increases your blood pressure and the risk of blood clots.
If your blood is thick, your heart takes strain and the pressure against the inside of your arteries and blood vessels. So anything you can do to naturally thin your blood will help you to lower your blood pressure. And grounding does this naturally.
Start grounding to lower your blood pressure
Grounding is easy to do. For 40 minutes a day, go outside and walk barefoot on grass, sand, dirt or even concrete for your body to draw the Earth’s electrons.
If you can’t go outdoors, a garage or basement with a concrete floor will also work. Or if you can, get your hands on a grounding device. Use it while you work or even sleep and it’ll have the same effect.
If you’re on any blood thinning medication, check with your doctor first before you embark on a grounding programme.
If you’re taking Warfarin, Dr Sinatra suggests you start walking bare feet first before you use any grounding device. And sleeping grounded should only be considered after you’ve gradually increased your grounding activity and closely monitored your blood thickness.
So, what are you waiting for? Take off your shoes and go for a walk outside.
