You know how important food is for the health of your heart. But sometimes you're just to busy to think about food, never mind plan every mouthful.
But there's a solution!
As long as you have a good quality blender, you can make any smoothie you want! And this can cut out a lot of the thought processes involved in decisions you need to make about keeping your heart healthy with food.
Smoothies are especially handy on those chaotic mornings where everything seems to go wrong and you just don't have time to sit down and eat a healthy breakfast.
Give this heart boosting one a try…
A quick smoothie blitz can be all you need to keep heart problems at bay
The trick is to realise as quickly as possible that your time is running short in the morning. You can then simply throw some ingredients into the blender, watch it spin while you brush your teeth, pour and dash out of the house. This way you’ll be able to have breakfast before you get to the office and you’ve had something healthy to start your day!
The key to this timesaving trick is to have the right ingredients in your fridge at all times. Be sure to have the bare minimum of:
· A tub of Greek yoghurt
· Mixed berries (frozen or fresh) or some fruit that’s not time consuming to throw into the blender
· Honey or peanut butter
· Lemon juice
And if you have a little more time, use this incredible green smoothie recipe to protect yourself against heart problems.
