In the study, published in the International Journal of Cancer, the researchers reviewed data from 36,000 men over a 13 year period. 

The data showed that those men who ate mushrooms once or twice a week had an 8% reduction in prostate cancer risk. 

Those who consumed mushrooms at least three times a week, had 17% less risk of developing prostate cancer.

And results were better for older men - over the age of 50.
