What’s more, watermelon is 92% water, so it can help stave off dehydrated-related hunger.
#2: Zucchini
Zucchini is the perfect carbohydrate replacement because it’s super-low in calories and packs bloat-preventing potassium. One cup of zucchini noodles contains about 200 less calories than one cup of traditional pasta. You can buy zucchini noodles at most supermarkets or make your own using a bow grater, vegetable peeler or spiralizer and then pair them with a pesto, tomato or lemon sauce (yum!).

#3: Shrimp
A 85 g serving of shrimp contains 100 calories and 1 g of fat, yet packs 19 g of protein, which fills you up so you don’t overeat at the next meal. Shrimp is also a great source of energy-boosting B vitamins and selenium. Just make sure you opt for boiled, grilled, sautéed or roasted shrimp rather than the butter-soaked, deep-fried kinds!
#4: Ceviche
This American dish of raw fish cured in lime juice requires no cooking, so it’s a cinch to make. It’s already a cinch on your waistline thanks to the abundance of satiating protein that it delivers! Ceviche is also packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which may help you burn fat and shed kilos. One study found that mice who consumed fish oil lost more weight and burned more calories.
It’s hard to believe that these delicious foods won’t hurt your waistline, isn’t it?
