Passion flower is a strikingly beautiful wildflower that produces a fleshy fruit. As its name suggests, it's kind, gentle and calming from nature.

You might already know about some of the health benefits that passion flower offers, such as helping anxiety and calming inflammation from skin irritations and burns. But these aren't the only benefits that the herb has to offer…

Passion flower can also help reduce menopausal symptoms like hot flashes, lower blood pressure and eliminate insomnia. To learn more about these benefits, keep reading.

Three amazing health benefits of passion flower

#1: Passion flower helps reduce menopausal symptoms
Menopause presents feelings of depression and anxiety, often caused by low levels of amma-aminobutyric acid, which is a chemical in the brain. Hormone therapy is one way to manage these symptoms, but because it relies on modern medicine, it can create a number of unpleasant side effects.
Studies have shown that passionflower can treat menopausal symptoms including vasomotor signs (hot flashes and night sweats), depression, insomnia, headaches and anger. Some have even concluded that passion flower is a very good alternative to conventional hormone therapy.

Who doesn’t love a good night’s sleep? That aside, sleep is one of the most important things you can do for your body. A study that looked had patients who had problems sleeping with a focus on patients with bipolar disorder tested a number of natural herbal remedies found that passion flower improved sleep by reducing anxiety.
