There’s a delicious snack that’s better for you than any type of medication

In 2010, researchers studied the effects of blueberries on the elderly. After 12 weeks, there was a significant improvement in their ability to learn and remember facts.
There was also an improvement in patients with symtpoms of depression. And this made it was clear to researchers that blueberries were a great source of nutrition for mental health matters in the elderly.
Just two years later, in 2012, researchers wanted to know if these sweet little fruits would help younger people retain their mental health too.
In a short study, researchers gave participants between the ages of 18 and 30 a smoothie made with 200g blueberries or one without.
After five hours, they performed memory and other cognitive tests. The group whose smoothies contained blueberries scored 15% to 20% higher than those whose smoothies didn’t have the “special” fruit.
They concluded that blueberries help boost brain power and improve memory and learning in younger adults too.
