Dandruff and dry scalp, although two different conditions, are both very common. Luckily, there's a natural remedy to treat both of them - jojoba oil!
Jojoba oil isn't actually an oil, but rather a wax ester. This makes it the closest approximation to human sebum, or skin oil. Jojoba oil regulates your natural oils without clogging your pores. Plus, it's relatively inexpensive and widely available at most pharmacies and health food stores.
Once you have a bottle of jojoba oil on your skincare shelf, the world is your oyster - you can use is as a natural face, body or hair oil or even as a scalp treatment. Because the issue at hand here is dandruff and dry scalp, I'm going to tell you more about how to use jojoba oil to treat both these conditions.

What to do:
Combine the jojoba oil and lavender essential oil in the container. Shake or stir well.
When you’re ready to apply your scalp treatment, pour a coin-sized amount of the oil concoction into the palm of your hand and spread evenly over your fingers.
Massage the oil into your head for about a minute, adding more if necessary. On the base of your skull, rub your fingernails in an up-down, zigzag motion, starting symmetrically with each hand behind your ears and making your hands meet right above your neck. Do this several times.
For the top of your scalp, rub from your ears to the middle of your scalp, but horizontally. If none of this makes sense to you, simply run your scalp however feels right to you – just make sure you’re doing a deep rub to get that nice tingling feeling afterwards!
After the massage, tuck your hair into the shower cap and leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes. After your timer goes off, take a shower and wash your hair as normal.
Hasta la vista, dry scalp!
