Detox your skin with these two kitchen cupboard ingredients
You want to start taking better care of your skin, but monthly facials simply aren't in your budget. So what can you do?

We're sharing a very simple homemade lemon and honey face mask recipe that will leave your skin feeling refreshed, cleansed and intensely moisturised. Enjoy!

The skin benefits of lemon and honey

Lemons are packed with AHAs and BHAs, which help to remove dead skin cells to reveal a fresh, “new” complexion. This fruit also helps clear up discolouration, acne and blackheads.
Honey, on the other hand, is a naturally antibacterial and is also very rich in antioxidants. It’s excellent for providing your skin with moisture as well as a gorgeous natural glow.

Burn extra calories by eating more fat!
Did you know there’s one type of saturated fat that encourages your body to burn more energy as fuel. And that only means one thing: You lose more weight.
And if you don’t believe that it’s all possible when you add more fat to your diet, read about it here…

How to apply a lemon and honey face mask

Pour hot boiling water in a bowl and stand above it, letting the steam open up your pores. Then in a separate bowl, mix one tablespoon of organic raw honey with half a squeezed organic lemon. Apply the mixture all over your face (avoiding your eye area) and leave on for 20 to 30 minutes.
Rinse the face mask off when your skin starts feeling sensitive or after the suggested time using warm water and a face cloth. Finish off with a splash of cold water to close your pores, then gently pat dry with a towel. Follow up with your regular facial serum or moisturiser.
