That's because a new study, presented at the Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD), found that hot baths have a beneficial effect on glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c). 

Scientists have known for a while that saunas help lower blood sugar, and now this study confirmed the heat from hot baths could have a similar effect on the body. 

The study found that bathing 4.2 times per week in a hot bath for 16 minutes reduced HbA1c by 7.36%.
