According to a study published in the journal Diabetes
Care, people who get plenty of vitamin K from food are 20% less likely to develop type II diabetes
Although researchers indicated they’re not sure what’s at the heart of the relationship, they suspect it “has to do with evidence that vitamin K reduces inflammation, which may improve the body’s use of insulin,” writes Christine O'Brien in Nutrition & Healing

Study participants with the highest intakes of K consumed between 250 and 360 micrograms of total vitamin K each day.
