  2. Foods containing refined carbohydrates break down into glucose in your body. The more refined they are, the quicker they turn to sugar. And that means the quicker they casue your blood sugar to spike. Leave them off your shopping list completely!

  3. Sweet drinks: Fizzy drinks contain high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) and fruit juice contains high levels of fructose. Both these drinks casue your blood sugar levels to spike and your hunger hormones to increase too. So not only are you increasing your blood sugar by drinking these jucies, but you're more hungry and bound to eat something sugary, which increases your blood sugar even further. Rather drink water or a low-cal spritzer instead. 

  4. Processed foods are high in salt and preservatives. And both of these are bad for your health no matter which way you look at it.

There you have it, the four foods you should consciously strip from your diet right now to help ensure you don’t suffer from diabetes complications.
