Lose weight with this two-day diet weight loss plan for diabetics

The secret to losing weight with diabetes is called Intermittent Fasting. The way it works is, you strictly restrict your calories for two days of the week, while being reasonably lenient for the rest of the week.

In the two days that you’re dieting, you can eat between 500 and 1,000 calories. That’s not undoable when you know it’s just for two days.

It sounds strange, but it works. In one study, researcher Mark Mattson from Baltimore, found intermittent fasting in rodents seemed to improve their blood sugar levels and kept them lean.

In another study, almost 100 overweight women were asked to follow the 5-2 diet by eating a Mediterranean diet for five days and a low-calorie diet of lean protein and almost no carbohydrates for two days.
