Research links personality and mental health...

In the study published in the journal Neurobiology of Aging, the researchers examined brain images and ran cognitive assessments over several years on the participants.

They found three common personality traits in people who were not affected by Alzheimer's:

* A tendency to be disagreeable sometimes, even unpleasant.
* Nonconformist - unperturbed about what others think.
* Being open-minded and willing to consider new experiences and ideas.

While you can't change everything about your personality, there may be some benefit to adjusting your "mental agility" when it comes to adopting these three traits.
