Don't be fooled - this oil isn't as healthy as it's made out to be...
It's a minefield out there when it comes to oil...

First coconut oil is healthy, then it isn't, then olive oil is healthy but you can't cook with it, then canola oil is good for you AND you can cook with it...

But wait - is it really?

Why canola oil isn't as healthy as it's touted to be...

Canola oil has a high smoking point which means it can sustain high cooking temperatures without degrading - a process that produces toxic chemicals in the body.

It's also low in saturated fat - containing only 7% of it - which is why many have labeled it healthier than coconut oil.

Unfortunately though, most canola oil products are highly processed. Manufacturers use heat to process this otherwise healthier oil...

ALERT: Combat one of the most vicious “side effects” of an ageing brain

And this is why studies have linked it to memory loss and a higher risk of Alzheimer's for people with a predisposition for the disease.

In one study out of Temple University in the States, researchers fed half the mice a canola-free diet, while the other half were fed the equivalent of two tablespoons of canola oil per day.

When they analysed their brain tissue, the mice that had been fed the canola oil had less of a protective protein in the brain which helps prevent the kind of damage associated with memory loss and Alzheimer's.

So, where does that leave you in terms of deciding which oil to use when?

Which oil to use when...

Extra virgin olive oil is undoubtedly the most nutritious and healthiest oil you can use. It's been linked to a number of health benefits, including heart health.

The problem with this healthy oil is that it has a low smoking point - which means it's only healthy as long as you don't use it for frying (which involves high heat).

When you need to fry something, rather use sesame oil. It is a bit more expensive but a little goes a long way.

It is nutritious and has a high smoking point - and it's low in saturated fat.

And, while it's not a cooking oil, CBD oil has been found to help your body heal itself and prevent disease... In fact, it's been found to IMPROVE memory and concentration, reduce pain and much more - to find out more about this unique oil, click here...
