An egg a day can help keep Alzheimer's disease away...
You're familiar with the saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. But you might be surprised to learn that an egg a day can help keep Alzheimer's disease away.

Eggs have long been referred to as nature's multivitamin due to the host of health benefits they offer. These benefits range from healthy HDL (that's the good kind) cholesterol and reduced risk of heart disease, to lower triglycerides and improved eye health.

However, it wasn't up until recently that scientists discovered that eggs also offer brain health benefits.

More specifically, scientists discovered that eating eggs can protect you from memory loss - an early warning sign of Alzheimer's disease.

And if you're worried an egg a day may hurt your heart...

Of course, eggs are also rich in cholesterol – one yolk packs about 200mg. For a long time, doctors believed that dietary cholesterol was a major contributor to heart disease.

However, it turns out they were mistaken – the theory that dietary cholesterol increases your cholesterol levels has since been disproven. But the trick is to keep the yolk whole while cooking the egg, so avoid scrambling your eggs - as that's been shown to be less healthy.
