More than 4,000 cases of prostate cancer are diagnosed in South Africa every year,” reports the Movember prostate cancer awareness campaign’s website. And that makes prostate cancer the most common form of cancer for men in South Africa.
Those are some pretty scary figures.
And it’s why scientists have spent years trying to find a way to treat prostate cancer more effectively.
Now, the use of the Newcastle virus as a treatment is being prepped for Phase 1 testing on people, reports Health24.
How does it work?
Well, “a treatment for prostate cancer based on this virus would avoid the adverse side effects typically associated with hormonal treatment for prostate cancer, as well as those associated with cancer chemotherapies generally,” corresponding author Subbiah Elankumaran of Virginia Polytechnic Institute told the site.
It’s great to see progress being made in the fight against prostate cancer – but until it’s readily available, there are some natural treatments you can try instead.
Bee pollen extract and royal jelly: The bees’ way to treat prostate cancer
Nature offers an abundance of relief for ailments of almost every part of the human body – and your prostate is no different, says William L. Fischer author behind How to Fight Prostate Cancer and Win.
And when it comes to fighting prostate cancer, you should thank the bees.
After all, they’re responsible for two effective natural prostate cancer treatments: Bee pollen extract and royal jelly.
Here’s how they work:
Bee pollen extract: “In a study completed at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, researchers completed a trial with 60 men who were given bee pollen extract over a six-month period. The trial indicated that bee pollen extract showed positive results as a treatment for enlarged prostates and prostatitis,” reports Livestrong.com.
The reason? Because bee pollen extract is rich in B-complex vitamins that help regulate the production of cortisol and adrenaline – too much of which has been found to increase your risk of developing prostate cancer. And because it works “specifically on the prostate, no side effects have been reported by its users,” adds Fischer.
Royal jelly: Is another natural product found to aid prostate cancer sufferers. “Rich in hormones, enzymes, vitamins, and amino acids like acetylcholine, royal jelly is thought to revitalize living cells, which has proven effective at reversing prostate cancer,” Fischer explains.
Both bee products should be available at all good health stores.
In How to Fight Prostate Cancer and Win Elena Groth, a naturopathic physician from Germany, prescribes two royal jelly capsules three times a day, taken along with bee pollen extract. Together this dynamic natural health duo could help you reverse prostate cancer so you can live a long, healthy life.
