Do spend a lot of time sitting or lying down? That could be bad news…
According to a new study, lots of time spent sitting or lying down can increase a woman's odds for cancer. It doesn't seem to have the same effect on men, it adds.
But how on earth would sitting boost your cancer risk?! Sounds bizarre, right? Read on to find out more about this strange correlation…
Sitting down and increased cancer risk: A strange correlation
“Longer leisure time spent sitting was associated with a higher risk of total
cancer risk in women, and specifically with multiple myeloma, breast and ovarian cancers,” study author Dr Alpa Patel of the American
Cancer Society group reported.
One doctor said the message from this new study is unclear…
“Encouraging individuals across all categories of weight to reduce sitting time would have an impact on their physical activity, with beneficial effects on
cancer and other chronic diseases,” Dr Paolo Bofetta of the Icahn School of Medicine in New York said.
“Further research is warranted to better understand this association,” says Dr Patel.

The real key to healing cancer is to wipe out the stealth disease lurking behind it...
I admit I was downright shocked when I found out that
cancer isn't actually what kills most cancer patients! And I've been a doctor for well over 20 years - so not much surprises me anymore.
Even more astounding - this monumental discovery goes back to the 1970s when former US Air Force Dr Joseph Gold uncovered the REAL killer, a condition that no one in the medical field was even talking about!
That's right - the real culprit behind 3 out of every 4 cancer deaths isn't cancer at all. No! It's a syndrome you've probably never even heard of - called cachexia (pronounced "ka-kek-see-ah").

Possible reasons for the sitting down cancer risk association
Although researchers didn’t comment on this (because they claim they didn’t design their study to prove cause-and-effect), here’s a theory:
Much previous research suggests that physical activity can decrease cancer risk. Especially
breast cancer in women.
This study is an interesting one, and follow-up research is to come. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled.
