Ladies, if you're following the Atkins diet, be prepared for a higher breast cancer risk

by , 15 April 2015

It may have come out years ago, but the Atkins diet is still one of the most popular diets around.

From Kim Kardashian to Renée Zellweger and Sharon Osbourne, Hollywood women just can't seem to get enough of it.

But you shouldn't follow suit.

While there's no denying the thrill of knowing that you can lose weight by eating bacon and eggs three times a day, doing so is putting you directly in cancer's path.

Especially breast cancer's!

Here's why…

*********** Essential reading **********

The real key to healing cancer is to wipe out the stealth disease lurking behind it...

I admit I was downright shocked when I found out that cancer isn't actually what kills most cancer patients! And I've been a doctor for well over 20 years - so not much surprises me anymore.

Even more astounding - this monumental discovery goes back to the 1970s when former US Air Force Dr Joseph Gold uncovered the REAL killer, a condition that no one in the medical field was even talking about!

That's right - the real culprit behind 3 out of every 4 cancer deaths isn't cancer at all. No! It's a syndrome you've probably never even heard of - called cachexia (pronounced "ka-kek-see-ah").

************************************

Warning: Following a high fat diet like Atkins increases your risk of the most common form of breast cancer by 28%

There’s nothing good about saturated fats.

And now there’s proof.

Findings from the “Epic breast cancer study,” which involved more than 300,000 women from ten European countries, revealed that when you follow a high fat diet that increases the amount of saturated fats and foods you consume, your risk of hormone-sensitive breast cancer goes up to.

By 28%!

In fact, the study revealed you were more likely to develop breast cancer marked by a defective HER2 gene if you regularly indulged in fatty foods.

Here’s why…

High fats, hormones and breast cancer – they’re all connected

As study author, Dr Sabina Sieri from the National Tumour Institute in Milan, explains: “High saturated fat intake increases risk of receptor-positive disease, suggesting saturated fat involvement in the etiology (causes) of receptor-positive breast cancer.’

They also raise your cholesterol. And while this isn’t a direct link to cancer, science has recently shown that one of the by-products of cholesterol can fuel the deadly growth and spread of breast cancer. It’s so dangerous, in fact, that researchers at the Aston University School of Medical Sciences in Birmingham revealed your breast cancer risk increase 64% if you suffer from high cholesterol.

And the likelihood of developing that are high when you consider that diets like Atkins encourage you to eat fat, fat and more fat.

And that’s why today’s take away is simply this: In your pursuit of weight loss, don’t put your health at risk. Rather eat a healthy, balanced diet put together for you by a qualified nutritionist or dietician than follow Hollywood fads you’ll live to regret later.

PS: Have you ever wondered why some succeed at weight loss but most of us fail?

You see... The problem with most weight loss plans and diets is they’re intended for a short period of time and a quick result. Quick results are short-lived and nothing is ever really accomplished.

Honestly... Who wants to drop 10 kilos in one month and regain it ALL back PLUS MORE a month later?

You need lasting results to give you the body you want and deserve, to boost your self-confidence and totally change your life.
