“Breast cancer today is not what it was 20 years ago. Survival rates are climbing, thanks to greater awareness, more early detection, and advances in treatment,” says WebMD. Although this is the case, prevention is still better than cure. Here's how you can use iodine to treat and prevent breast cancer.
Iodine plays an important role in your body as it reduces the thyroid hormone, kills fungus and bacteria. But, it’s also an effective
cancer treatment and prevention.
Here’s how iodine works to help treat
cancer
According to Dr Wright of
Nutrition & Healing, iodine kills breast
cancer cells without killing off normal cells in the process. And that’s why it’s ideal for both the treatment and prevention of
breast cancer.
It’s most effective when you literally put the treatment right onto the problem.
How to administer iodine as a breast cancer treatment…
“Mix a solution of 50% iodine DMSO and rub it directly onto your breast as near as possible to where the cancer is (or used to be). The DMSO will ensure penetration deep into the tissue,” says Dr Wright
If you’re worried about
breast cancer spreading, you can also rub the mixture into the area under the arms that’s rich in lymph glands (nodes) where breast cancer spreads first.
While a DMSO solution is available in your local health shop, Dr Wright cautions you NOT to use iodine without consulting a physician skilled and knowledgeable in the use of high-dose iodine.
“Also be sure that your physician monitors your thyroid function and gives you other nutrient suggestions while you use iodine as an adjunct to your regular breast cancer treatment,” Dr Wright advises.
