Don't ignore heartburn, it can lead to oesophageal cancer...
If you suffer from heartburn and acid reflux, also referred to as gastro oesophageal reflux disease (or GERD for short), it's important that you read on.

Researchers noted a rise in both GERD and oesophageal cancer in the past years. It seems our diet choices and obesity have led to this rise.

One of the ways to prevent oesophageal cancer is by treating heartburn.

How heartburn can lead to cancer...

When you leave GERD untreated, it can cause stomach acid to repeatedly gush into your oesophagus. Over time, this causes changes in the tissue lining, resulting in a condition known as Barrett’s oesophagus.
The researchers at the University of California found people who are diagnosed with Barrett’s oesophagus are 40 times more likely to develop oesophageal cancer.

And, heartburn is often the only symptom of oesophageal cancer.

How to help prevent heartburn...

Follow these tips to help prevent heartburn...
  • Don't overeat. Eat small portions more regularly during the day.
  • Watch your posture. Never lie down when eating and make an effort to sit upright during and after meals.
  • Lose weight. If you're overweight, lose some and your heartburn could go away altogether.
  • Go for a walk. After a meal, take a walk around the block to get your digestion going. Don't do heavy exercise after eating though.
  • Don't smoke. Smoking can cause heartburn.
  • Cut back on these food culprits. Alcohol, spicy food, citrus fruits, caffeinated drinks, fatty foods, tomatoes, peppermint and chocolate.
  • Dress comfortably. Wear loose-fitting clothing, especially around your waist.
  • Check your medication. Nitrates and calcium channel blockers used to treat blood pressure and heart conditions can cause heartburn. Check the package inserts for your medication and if heartburn is a side-effect, speak to your doctor about other options.

Give yourself up to 98% greater chance of beating cancer...

Drug manufacturers have spent the last 30 years frantically trying to keep a lid on these breakthrough therapies. You won't believe it when you hear about the underhanded tactics they resorted to...

But, medical researcher William L. Fischer has spent the better part of his career researching what nature has to offer in terms of cancer treatments.

And the disturbing truth is, when it comes to natural cancer breakthroughs, the mainstream (including some of the most prominent health organisations all over the world) has a habit of botching studies, skewing results, and hiding the TRUTH about nature's cancer-treating potential from the people who need it most.

Now, you can access everything he dug up... All the natural cancer fighters he learned about... Right here...

How to treat heartburn - safely

Heartburn medications could cause nutrient deficiencies which can lead to serious health problems, increase your chances for infection, diarrhoea or constipation, kidney problems and other issues...

Try to treat your heartburn naturally to avoid these side effects and prevent oesophaeal cancer from GERD.

But first, you should know... If you're over 50 and suffer from heartburn more than once a week, find a doctor who is trained in natural health (an Integrative doctor or Naturopath) and get your stomach levels tested.

You'll be surprised to know that heartburn in older people is often a symptom of too LITTLE stomach acid, not too much.

This is easily treatable with hydrochloric acid and pepsin.

These other natural remedies have shown to help treat heartburn:
  • Milk thistle
  • Lemon balm
  • German chamomile
  • Angelica

Remember – don't ignore heartburn, it can lead to cancer.
