Gout is an acid build up in your joints that turns into crystals. It causes your joints to become inflamed and swollen, causing an enormous amount of pain.

Then there’s exercise. You have to do the 30 minutes minimum amount of moderate exercise a day to keep gout out of your joints. By increasing the range of movement in your joints through exercise, you prevent your joints from getting stiff, and thus prevent gout, says simplefit.net. 
 
And lastly, you need to keep your BMI within the normal healthy range. According to WebMD, if you carry too much weight for your height, your BMI will soar and your joints will suffer. When you’re overweight, you have a higher risk of developing gout and its painful symptoms.
 
There you have it! Control your diet, amount of exercise you get every day and keep your BMI within the healthy range so you can prevent gout from robbing you of your health.
