Are you still taking calcium for your bones? You should be taking this instead...
Osteoporosisis affects over 40% of people over the age of 50, so it's important to keep your bones strong and healthy as you age...

But taking a calcium supplement isn't going to do the trick...

In fact, a study in the British Medical Journal confirmed that people over the age of 50 don't get stronger bones by eating calcium-rich foods or taking a calcium supplement.

In the study, the people who took calcium were just as likely to get fractures as those who didn't.

Worse, calcium supplements may increase your risk of heart disease...
Of course, not getting enough calcium is not a good thing either - so don't stop eating dairy...

But if you want to strengthen your bones - there's another mineral you should be taking...

Find out what it is below...

You should be taking this UNSURPRISING mineral for your bones...

Studies show it's magnesium you should be taking...

And that's not so surprising because the more scientists study this mineral, the more it seems to offer!

It's involved in over 300 metabolic processes in the body... We already know that magnesium is good to keep your muscles and nerves healthy, it helps regulate blood sugar and blood pressure, it ensures your DNA gets replicated without "coding" errors, AND it strengthens your bones!

Scientists at the universities of Bristol and Eastern Finland followed over 2,200 middle-aged men for more than 20 years.

They found that those who had lower levels of magnesium in their blood were at higher risk of bone fractures.

Those with higher levels of magnesium in their blood had a whopping 44% less chance of experiencing fractures...

And when the scientists looked specifically at the data of the 22 men that had really high levels of magnesium (over 2.3 =mg/dl), they found that not one of them experienced a fracture.

Will eating magnesium-rich foods increase your magnesium levels?

The lead researcher of the study pointed out that just eating foods rich in magnesium may not be enough... Especially as we grow older when we don't absorb nutrients from food as well as we used to in our younger years.

Magnesium citrate has been shown to be the most bioavailable form of supplement available - this means your body can absorb it and use it more easily.

And, if you're taking high doses of vitamin D, you should defintely take a magnesium supplement as the body uses magnesium to convert vitamin D into an active molecule it can use - which further depletes your body's magnesium stores.
