Lose belly fat by introducing these simple dietary habits
Belly fat is more than just a wardrobe malfunction. In fact, nutritionists report that one of the most common problems they face is related to losing belly fat.

We get it - it's a big task to lose belly fat, but by introducing some key dietary habits, you can quickly lose weight on your midriff! Read on for simple dietary tips to lose belly fat and get a toned tummy...

Five dietary tips that will help you lose belly fat

#1: Drink plenty of water
Up to 70% of the adult body is water. Most your metabolic process takes place in water, so when you’re well hydrated, your basal metabolic rate increases. The result? You’re able to digest food more efficiently and use food to burn calories required by your body so that you end up with a flat tummy!

#2: Replace unhealthy foods with whole foods
Throw away all unhealthy foods such as white bread, canned fruit, frozen chips, processed patties and sausages, and replace them with whole foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, raw nuts and lean meats.

#3: Say no to high-carb meals
High-carb foods like desserts, doughnuts and cookies won’t help you lose belly fat, so make sure you only consume good carbs from foods like fresh fruits and vegetables. However, you should keep in mind that while good carbs help lose belly fat naturally, you shouldn’t overindulge in them. If you do, you’ll increase your insulin level and metabolic rate.

#4: Choose lean proteins
Lean sources of protein such as beans, chicken, fish and lean steak aid in keeping your saturated fat intake at a healthy level. When you’re eating lean proteins, you’ll find yourself losing belly fat and shaping your body. As a bonus, you’ll get loads of vitamins from these sources, which will improve your overall health as well!

#5: Cut back on salt
Food products like chips, junk food, packaged foods and pickled are brimming with salt, which is very bad for your body because it causes water retention, which can make you look and feel bloated. For this reason, you should check labels for preserved foods – which normally contain extra salt – and avoid them as far as possible.

These dietary habits to lose belly fat may seem like small efforts, but they are sure to lead to big results!
