#1: Carry around a shaker

#3: Avoid liquid calories
Some drinks are extremely high in calories, such as juice, lemonade, soft drinks and, hardest of all, after-work wine. Replace these drinks with water or green tea, which amp up your metabolism and promote fat burn.
 
#4: Balance your diet
Pair your sweet treats with something that’s healthy for you. For example, if you want chips, add a handful of guacamole and vegetables. In the mood for chocolate? Partner it with Greek yoghurt. By doing this, you’ll fill up on healthy food so you won’t overindulge in lots of less-healthy food.
 
#5: Put away the food scale
Portion control isn’t about weighing everything you eat – it’s about cutting back on bread if you have pasta or ordering two appetisers instead of a mail meal.
