The link between depression and inflammation of the colon explained...

Recently, researchers found a link between depression and risk of Clostridium difficile infection (CDI). Often called C. difficile or C. diff, CDI is a bacterium that can cause diarrhoea as well as life-threatening inflammation of the colon.

But the researchers were a little off the mark...

When they dug deeper, they found that the link didn’t actually lead to depression. It leads to antidepressant drugs.

The culprits lurking behind this inflammation of the colon contain the active ingredients mirtazapine and fluoxetine.

CDI is known as a superbug. And for good reason.

It creates a super crisis in the colon…

It causes severe diarrhoea, colitis and other intestinal problems And once it sets in, it’s hard to control. It’s most common in older people. And, this superbug can be quite deadly! Every year, CDI complications cause the deaths of tens of thousands of patients.

Antibiotic use also increases CDI risk. But, the risk drops dramatically when patients take probiotic supplements. Probiotics balance good and bad bacteria in the gut. So it’s also likely that probiotics can protect users of antidepressant drugs as well.

If you're taking an antidepressant, check your package insert for the active ingredients and don't wait until you get diarrhoea if you've been lucky to escape until now. Take a probiotic to balance the friendly bacteria in your colon. You can also find out here how to restore your health from the inside...

  • Breast and stomach cancer have been traced to chemical oestrogens in our food...
  • Early senility may actually be caused by environmental chemicals...
These toxins can cause terrible headaches… or uncontrollable joint pain… Have you ever felt listless and sapped of energy? Or immobilised by colon cramps? Or even just tired and listless? Well, now there’s a unique way to flush out toxins and feel brand new again.
