Did you know that THC is actually an antioxidant and helps fight skin ageing?
The cannabis plant has been getting a lot of attention lately for its supposed health benefits. But here's one you probably haven't heard of yet: THC - the main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana - is actually an antioxidant and thereby offers skin benefits.

Before you turn your nose up at this, hear me out. I'm not suggesting that you smoke marijuana for beautiful skin - we all know that smoking advances ageing. Instead, you should apply it directly.

Are you ready to give your skin a contact high? Keep reading to learn more about what THC can do for your ageing skin!

As an antioxidant, THC helps minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

According to scientists and dermatologists who are studying the ways in which THC can fight inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, the antioxidant has the ability to reduce the first signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles.

The experts say that THC is a top treatment for tired or dry skin, too. And the best part? It’s completely natural!

What to do:
  1. Cut open the avocado, remove the pit and spoon the flesh into the blender. Add the remaining ingredients.
  2. Blend until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
  3. Remove the mixture from the blender and put into a small dish. Set aside.
  4. To prepare your skin for optimal nutrient and moisture absorption, open up your pores with a steam treatment. Pull your hair back and have a towel at the ready. Heat a pot of water on the stove until near-boiling, pour it into a heatproof bowl, and set the bowl in front of you. For a real spa-like treatment, add a few drops of essential oil, like eucalyptus, lavender, or patchouli.  Put your face over the bowl and the towel over both your head and the bowl. Sit for about 10 minutes.
  5. Using your hands or an old or cheap makeup brush, sweep the mixture liberally all over your face, taking care to avoid getting too close to the eye area.
  6. Let the mask sit for at least 15 to 20 minutes. Wash it all off, store any extra mask in the fridge.

Now go forth with your newly blissed-out complexion. This glow will last for days!
