Numerous studies have linked drinking rooibos tea to lower risk of cardiovascular disease...

One study conducted in Sweden found that the activity of the angiotensin-converting enzyme or ACE is suppressed 30 to 50 minutes after drinking 400 ml of rooibos tea. This enzyme is believed to play a role in the development of cardiovascular disease and therefore doctors often prescribe ACE inhibitors to treat high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.

Spanish researchers have also found that drinking rooibos tea can prevent the development of heart disease. In this particular study, researchers found that rooibos tea prevents the liver from storing excessive fat around major organs and under the skin.
