#1: Drink loads of water
Hydrating is the single most important step to take after consuming too much salt. It might sound counterintuitive to drink water when you’re feeling puffy, but water helps your body in so many ways. It’s sure to move the salt out of your system and help you feel better quickly.
 
#2: Eat potassium-rich fruits and vegetables
Potassium is an electrolyte that naturally lowers your sodium levels. You can get your fix by reaching for a potassium supplement or, even better, by loading up on potassium-rich fruits and vegetables like bananas, leafy greens and potatoes.

You may not be feeling your best when you’re experiencing gastrointestinal bloating, but doing cardio is some of the best defence against the symptoms. Whether you hit the pavement for a run or head to the gym for a cycle session, you’re sure to feel less bloated after exercising.
 
Tip: If you choose to go to the gym, sit in the sauna for 30 to 40 minutes after exercising to help your body sweat out even more impurities and toxins!
 
#4: Cut back on salt for a few days
For a few days after your binge, you should cut back on salty foods and focus on filling up on nutritious, natural whole foods – think fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins.
