This nutrient combats the negative effects of chemo on the brain...
If you - or a loved one - is going through chemotherapy, you'll know about “chemo brain”.

Cancer patients complain of a number of neurological side effects, including short-term memory loss and, in some cases, seizures, vision loss, and even dementia.

This is because chemotherapy drugs cause healthy brain cells to die off...

But there's even more bad news...

Chemo can keep damaging brain cells long after the treatment has ended. In one study, 50% of women had not recovered their previous level of cognitive function one year after treatment.

Thankfully, there's one natural nutrient that can help combat these damaging effects from chemo...

And, if it can stop the deterioration from a drug as toxic as chemo, shouldn't everyone be taking it to help protect their brains from other toxins?

Keep reading to find out what it is...

Protect your brain during cancer treatment with this natural nutrient...

There are two ways to combat the effects of chemo on the brain. The first one is to take Omega-3 fatty acids.

DHA (the docosahexaenoic acid component of Omega-3) is the most abundant fatty acid in healthy brains, while EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) provides anti-inflammatory properties.

Omega-3s are found in cold-water fish, flax seeds and leafy greens. You can also take fish oil supplements (containing EPA and DHA) to get these benefits.

Doctors have known for decades that sugar causes inflammation. And, when you're battling cancer and the negative effects of chemo, sugar just compounds the problem.

Studies in rats show that when they drink a 10% sugar solution daily, it causes increased inflammation in the hippocampus. The rats that received fructose showed reduced spatial learning and memory in tests.

High fructose corn syrup (found in fizzy drinks, fruit juices, chocolate bars, sweetened yoghurt, jam, ice-cream, bread and pastries and even salad dressings) also appears to reduce new nerve growth in the hippocampus, which is necessary for memory formation.

Fortunately, when the rats were switched back to plain water that wasn't spiked with high fructose, they regained a good part of their cognitive abilities.

So ditch the sugar today to combat chemo brain...
